MWE-Projekt 07: Digitale Außenbeschilderung für das Sentosa Scenic Area in Singapur

Sentosa鈥擲ingapore’s premier island resort鈥攄emands displays that can handle extreme brightness, tropical humidity, and the scrutiny of both tourists and government stakeholders. A project integrator won a tender to deploy 39 outdoor digital signage units across the Imbiah Lookout bus stop and scenic area. The catch: the client needed to use their own playback hardware and software stack, meaning MWE’s displays had to function as high-quality panels without the integrated player.

Projekt Herausforderung

This was a tender-grade project with three distinct complexity layers: (1) the client’s own playback box had to integrate seamlessly with MWE’s displays, requiring software compatibility validation; (2) remote monitoring was a contractual requirement, not a nice-to-have; (3) the five-year warranty commitment meant every component choice had to exceed commercial-grade reliability. All of this had to be documented for a government-level procurement process.

MWE-Lösung

MWE provided OMC software support to bridge the client’s mainboard with MWE’s display firmware. The team configured displays with no internal mainboard where the client’s players took over, and integrated mainboards where the full MWE stack was needed. Remote monitoring was enabled through the OMC platform. Spare-parts inventory and after-sales support documentation were prepared to meet tender requirements. Singapore case references were shared to support the client’s bid.

Anzeigekonfiguration

Die Anzeigekonfiguration wurde für die Installationsumgebung und das Projektziel ausgewählt. Wichtige Produktdetails umfassten:

  • 12 x 43-inch outdoor wall-mounted displays, 2500-nit brightness, galvanized steel enclosure, no mainboard
  • 9 x 65-inch outdoor wall-mounted displays, 700-nit brightness, galvanized steel enclosure, no mainboard
  • 5 x 65-inch outdoor floor-standing displays, 700-nit brightness, no mainboard
  • 13 x 98-inch outdoor floor-standing displays, 700-nit brightness, no mainboard

Warum diese Lösung funktionierte

  • Flexible mainboard configuration (no-mainboard option) allowed the client to own the playback layer while using MWE panels.
  • OMC remote monitoring and 5-year warranty met government tender compliance requirements.
  • Multi-size deployment (43″, 65″, 98″) covered different sightlines across the scenic area.

Kundenfeedback

Professional, reliable, and trustworthy.

Ergebnis

The client repurchased five times and continues to work with MWE on indoor and outdoor projects across Singapore. For integrators managing tender-based smart city projects, this case demonstrates the value of a display partner who can separate hardware supply from software integration and still deliver a unified warranty and support package.
