Trip to Guilin: A Travel Diary
Introduction
Under the summer sun, MWE LCD organized an unforgettable trip to Guilin. This journey was not only a chance to relax but also a wonderful opportunity to strengthen bonds among colleagues.
Day 1: Departure and Arrival
In the early morning, we set off with excitement for Guilin. After several hours on the road, we finally arrived in this picturesque city, renowned for its stunning landscapes. The moment we stepped off the bus, the fresh air and warm sunshine greeted us, making us feel instantly refreshed.
Our hotel was conveniently located in the city center, which made exploring very easy. After settling in, we began our first day of city sightseeing. The iconic Elephant Trunk Hill left us in awe, and we couldn’t resist taking photos to capture the moment.
Day 2: Li River Cruise
The highlight of our second day was the Li River cruise. In the morning, we boarded the boat and slowly sailed toward the heart of the river. The emerald hills on both banks, the shimmering water, and the breathtaking views made it feel as though we had stepped into a living landscape painting. Laughter and cheerful chatter filled the boat as we enjoyed delicious Guilin rice noodles and fresh fruit.
During the cruise, we spotted the famous Nine-Horse Fresco Hill, where every peak seemed to tell its own story, sparking our imagination. The ever-changing scenery, at times tranquil and at times majestic, captivated us all.
Day 3: Adventure in Yangshuo
Leaving Guilin’s city proper, we drove to Yangshuo. The natural scenery here was even more enchanting, especially its idyllic landscapes and winding country roads. We chose to explore by bicycle, creating beautiful vistas along the way with lush rice paddies, quaint farmhouses, and towering green mountains.
On West Street, we indulged in local delicacies like Beer Fish and Guilin rice noodles, which were absolutely delicious. That evening, we watched the “Impression Sanjie Liu” show and immersed ourselves in the charm of Zhuang culture; the captivating performance left us wanting more.
Day 4: Team Building and Return Journey
On our final day, we organized team-building activities. Through fun games, we got to know each other better and enhanced our team spirit. Amid laughter and camaraderie, we brought this delightful trip to a perfect close.
As we started our journey home, the beautiful scenery faded into the distance, but our hearts were filled with cherished memories. This trip to Guilin not only allowed us to marvel at the wonders of nature but also deepened the friendships among colleagues.
